For those interested in Managing, Coaching, Assistant Coaching, Team Parent or Scheduler please register on Sports Engine and fill out our 2022 volunteer form

ACCIDENT REPORTING FORM

When an accident occurs during a FCLL game, practice or other team event, the team manager is required to complete the Accident Reporting Form and turn it into their Division Rep. The form is linked below and can also be found under League Documents Page.
For more information please contact the Safety Officer at [email protected].

IMPORTANT! NEW VOLUNTEER REGULATION

California passed a new legislative bill, Assembly Bill No.506, that requires a fingerprint-based background check and child abuse and neglect reporting training for individuals who volunteer more than 16 hours a month or 32 hours a year; which, for Foster City Little League, includes coaches, managers, board members, umpires, etc.

These are the requirements that our volunteers must fulfill:

  1. Little League background check

  2. Abuse Awareness for Adults- Leagues can utilize the USA Baseball training, which is free to all volunteers. This needs to be completed online by 2/28/2022 and a copy of the certificate should be sent to s[email protected].

  3. Live Scan fingerprint - FCLL is currently waiting for DOJ QR code. Once we receive this information, we will provide further instructions to our volunteers on how to complete this requirement.

COACHES TRAINING

TRAINING VIDEOS

Dear youth baseball enthusiast.  Below is basic information on how to run a baseball practice and how to train 4-12yo baseball players.  This information is intended for newer coaches.  However, the information is also quite useful for parents wanting to learn more so they can work with their little baseballer at home.  Most of the information here is categorized for your convenience and was obtained from YouTube.  There is also a TON of additional information out there on the internet.

Important Reminders: (1) Some say that 50% or more of the game is mental, so don’t forget to develop your player’s mental strength and baseball IQ; (2) kids play harder for people they think are vested in them, so be sure to develop personal rapport with each player individually; and (3) for most kids, their coach is the second largest adult influence in their lives besides their parent(s).  Coaching is an awesome responsibility, do it and the children justice.

Thanks for looking and keep working hard in using baseball to build lifelong memories and to train tomorrow’s leaders.
